FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If you don't see your question, email support@xfactorpeptidelab.com.

What is X Factor Peptides?

X Factor Peptides is a US-based supplier of research-grade peptide reference standards for Research Use Only (RUO). Every vial ships with the actual HPLC purity certificate for that specific lot. We are not a pharmacy, not a compounder, and we do not sell for human consumption.

Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

Yes. Every vial ships with the actual HPLC chromatogram for its specific lot, signed and dated. COAs are also publicly searchable at /coa by lot number — you do not need to be a customer to view them.

What does Research Use Only (RUO) mean?

RUO means the material is intended for in-vitro or pre-clinical research only. It is not approved for diagnostic procedures, therapeutic use, food, cosmetics, or human consumption. Every order requires you to attest to RUO use at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently US-only. Some peptides are subject to US Export Administration Regulations and we do not ship to sanctioned jurisdictions. See our export policy for the full list.

How should I store your peptides?

Lyophilized peptides ship at ambient temperature and should be transferred to −20°C upon receipt for long-term storage. Reconstitution, handling, and stability parameters are determined by the end researcher; we provide no reconstitution, dosing, or use-window guidance. See /reconstitution for molecular identification data only.

What payment methods do you accept?

ACH bank transfer and wire are our primary methods, with instructions emailed alongside your invoice, plus card payment through a trusted payment processor. Standard processors (Stripe, PayPal, Square) reject RUO research-supply businesses, so we use compliant alternatives. We do not accept cryptocurrency. Wholesale buyers can request net-30 invoicing at /wholesale.

Can I return or refund a peptide?

Refunds or replacements are accepted for cold-chain breach, broken vials, wrong SKU shipped, missing lot label, or transit damage — reported within 14 days of delivery via the returns portal. We do not accept buyer's-remorse or performance-based returns, or returns of opened, partially-used, or reconstituted vials. Full policy at our refund policy and the returns portal at /returns.

Are these peptides safe for humans?

These are not for human use. They are research reagents. We do not provide dosing recommendations, treatment claims, or any medical guidance. Consult a licensed physician for medical questions. Misuse violates our Terms of Service and the RUO attestation you sign at checkout.

How fast do you ship?

In-stock orders ship from our Maryland facility in 3–7 business days, USPS Priority or UPS Ground (your choice at checkout). Tracking emailed within 24 hours of fulfillment. Backorders and custom-lot requests have a separate timeline disclosed at order time.

Can I order in bulk or for an institution?

Yes. The institutional inquiry form at /wholesale collects PI name, institution, intended use, and volume estimate. Bulk pricing, net-30 terms, custom synthesis, and white-label COAs are available for verified academic, biotech, and clinical research buyers.

Why per-lot COAs instead of generic spec sheets?

A generic spec sheet says what the peptide is supposed to look like. A per-lot HPLC chromatogram shows what your specific vial actually contains — area-under-the-curve purity for the parent peak, plus any impurity peaks. If a researcher cannot tie a chromatogram to the lot in their hand, the data is unverifiable. We made the per-lot COA a non-negotiable.

How do I report a quality issue or security finding?

Quality issues: compliance@xfactorpeptidelab.com with the lot number, photo of the vial, and a description of the issue. Security vulnerabilities: security@xfactorpeptidelab.com — full disclosure policy at our security policy.
